FLESH WORLD puts up "Poolside Boys" and some show dates.

Flesh World Share "Poolside Boys"
New Album 'The Wild Animals In My Life'
Out June 2nd on Iron Lung Records
Live Dates Announced! NYC, Seattle, SF + More

Flesh World hit us with a new, infectious tune "Poolside Boys" from their upcoming album, The Wild Animals In My Life out via Iron Lung Records on June 2nd.

The song debuted over at Noisey today who've called it "a noisy, ethereal, if not subliminally floral track." Flesh World have also announced their first set of live dates in support of the album - full list below and stay tuned for more. Flesh World began with Scott Moore (Limp Wrist) and Jess Scott (Brilliant Colors), in a microscopic lofted-bedroom in San Francisco's Panhandle district. Scott and Jess merged their respective musical histories of hardcore and pop sort of on accident. Actually without any mention of their previous bands, they bonded over the films of Kenneth Anger, the guitar work of Lou Reed and William Reid, the writing of Jean Genet, and the shirtless figures of David Hockney paintings. The pair slowly built songs in between hanging out at drag bars and punk shows, watching SF decay into some sort of inverted Detroit, isolated wealth which sent a lot of young artists running in the last couple of years.

Flesh World is sort of what's left of that, where the only places to have fun are still leather bars, house music clubs, basement punk shows. After the music and vision of Scott and Jess began to coagulate they brought in Diane Anastasio who also drummed in Brilliant Colors. At first Diane could only fit two pieces into the tiny bedroom in which Flesh World's real, basic and primitive sound developed.

Much of production, engineering, percussion and synth saw collaboration with Toronto photographer/legend, Don Pyle (Iggy Pop, Peaches). Pyle contributed enthusiastic efforts to The Wild Animals In My Life and the band considers this early member of first wave Toronto punk, electronic music, etc. to be a component to the sound of Flesh World overall.

You may be subject to fits of hysterical shouting or even laughter."

NUDITY - Astronomicon LP w/download (LUNGS-062)
"Astronomicon features driving uptempo beats, ringing choruses, and twin-guitar harmonies that segue into improvised jams invoking the MC5 at their Sun Ra-channeling best, cruise through talkbox-laden breakdowns and finish with pulse-revving big bang crescendos. Inspiration for the tracks came from places as lofty as long summers spent working fire lookouts on remote mountaintops, to lowly as a need for cathartic musical release after inter-band fights.
As its arresting cover imagery (painted by Brittany Stallings) suggests, Nudity pulls listeners to a place where the earthiest, most carnal human attributes bend around to meet supernal desires, while vouching that lovers of grit-filled Rock'n'roll get a headbanging fix. You can liken it to time travel, space travel, or space-time travel, but once on board, Nudity will take you to sonic frontiers in a style all their own.
The current lineup might be their most impressive yet, bringing talent from bands such as the Tight Bro's From Way Back When, Hysterics, The Need, Sex/Vid, Broken Water and more." -internet

"Do not panic. Think only of yourself." Trust us, this is worth the money.

  Thank you a good day.
