GAG - America's Greatest Hits LP w/download (LUNGS-075)
 Destined to be the most famous of all the bands. At least in their vision of the future that is. We like them. You like them. Why not? Go big or fuck off.
 Trippy violence and snake charms drenched in delay and fuel this wild, ugly, mid-tempo hardcore punk vehicle. All the way across the salt. For 180 days. Crew up and get down with America’s greatest.
 700 copies on black vinyl, 300 on something else, housed in a heavy duty sleeve adorned with Scott Young’s perfect artwork. Recorded by Nudity’s own Capt. Tripps in Olympia, WA.


BEHAVIOR - 375 Images of Angels LP w/download (LUNGS-074)
  John Cage related this anecdote: “One evening I was walking along Hollywood Boulevard, nothing much to do. I stopped and looked in the window of a stationary shop. A mechanized pen was suspended in space in such a way that, as a mechanized roll of paper passed by it, the pen went through the motions of the same penmanship exercises I had learned as a child in the third grade. Centrally placed in the window was an advertisement explaining the mechanical reasons for the perfection of the operation of the suspended mechanical pen. I was fascinated, for everything was going wrong. The pen was tearing the paper to shreds and splattering ink all over the window and on the advertisement, which, nevertheless, remained legible.”
  This little musing somehow rhymes with the spirit of BEHAVIOR’s '375 Images of Angels,' unique “musical” approach to punk. The very essence of punk is a contemptuous “fuck you” to convention anyway, or at least a troubled groping for new avenues of self creation. There is a simple beauty in deconstruction, in calculated naivety, in messes, in processes and in the plain night air of Los Angeles. '…Angels' dances like a dog shaking off a swim. '...Angels' is as deliberate as it is free. Don’t we all want this dichotomy in our lives? The drive to make our time our own and the permission to chase joy?


GAUCHO - Desplazados 7" w/download (LUNGS-072)
 The darkness and hate of living in the modern day is inescapable. People will always try to control you, force their ideologies on you and bind you with their ridiculous laws. Sooner or later you will get tired and hit back. And if true passion is there, you will succeed. It is hard not to hear the passion on this record. Gaucho delivers a Colombia-via-Canada raw hardcore pogo march to the death of tyrants far and wide. Members of S.H.I.T. give us a 5 song window into the struggle for a higher quality of life and we thank them for that.

WILKINSON/KORTLAND - One Scythe Fits All OST 7" w/download (LUNGS-073)
 The highest fidelity lo-fi synth driven soundtrack written and recorded by PIG HEART TRANSPLANT partners in crime, Greg Wilkinson and Jon Kortland. To say it's heavy and creepy is a no brainer. Are there slight moments of comic relief? Of course, it's a horror movie, duh. In true 80's slasher style there a small bits of dialogue between scintillating score tracks. Imagine listening to a mashup of Black Devil Doll From Hell (Chester N. Turner) and The Fog (John Carpenter) and you start to get an idea of the sounds happening here. Would you swim in a a pool where a dead body was found? We would, and we would listen to this while we were doing it.

Greg Wilkinson and Jon Kortland did the soundtrack to a short college slasher film by Dionne Stevens and Maya Messoriano called One Scythe Fits All. Think John Carpenter meets Chester N. Turner. An 11 song 7".


BEHAVIOR is a new Los Angeles punk band. This is their first album and it is a goddamn winner. A 10 song LP.


GAG is a morally upright and conservative republican rock group. Finally rich with this 8 song LP.


PRIVATE ROOM is the new WALLS band. Better songs, worse attitude. Strong. A 2 song single to hold you until the LP drops early next year.


LOCK is tough as shit. Members of CØNDITIØN and FURY playing up to date American hardcore. A 5 song 7".

  Pig Heart Transplant is the alter ego of Jon Kortland, one half of the men that comprise the surgical Powerviolence duo Iron Lung. Like Iron Lung, Pig Heart Transplant delivers both a vicious beating and violent outcome, however the operating methodology is an entirely different animal; slow, churning, industrial, electronic, painfully percussive, a bureaucratic nightmare of State Power with gears grinding the individual into a hallow shell, perfectly molded into one of Them. This is 1984.

  For Mass Consumption is composed of 28 tracks, each approximately 44 seconds long, each song title a 4 letter word, structured in a perfectly palatable way for optimum group adoption and mindless adherence to common purpose. Electronic manipulation, no wave guitar noise, abrasive hammering and eerie synthetic ambience imbue the listener with the seedy malaise of manipulation on a societal scale.  One might recognize the pulverizing brutality of early Swans on tracks like ‘Film’ or ‘Pigs’, the pulsing throb of Brighter Death Now and IRM on ‘Coma’ or even Robert McNaugton’s soundtrack work for Henry: Portrait Of Serial Killer on ‘1970’ or ‘1980’.

  Without doubt a horrifying work of aural terror, For Mass Consumption is the logical result of a culture bent on banal conformity and the futile struggle against its domination. Iron Lung Records (LP and Cassette versions) is pleased to bring this tormented future vision into the present in collaboration with 20 Buck Spin (CD version).

It's hard to believe that TRUE RADICAL MIRACLE has been largely ignored outside of Australia until now. Maybe it's because Cockroaches was only available on CD in Australia back in 2006. Maybe it's because the world wasn't quite ready for the cruel haunted ugliness that makes them a staple in the Aussie noise rock scene. Cockroaches reflects on THE BAD SEEDS and Filth/Cop era SWANS but takes it's primitive nature to new level by smashing the mirror and hacking those bands to chunks with the shards. It's spent 5 years in the shadows of the outback but now it's time for the world to experience this madness. Let the cockroaches crawl all over you.
